Sarah Long’s dance journey began at the age of 7 with a strong foundation in acrobatics, studio dance, and cheerleading. As a teen, she advanced into the world of competitive dance, joining a competition team specializing in jazz and hip hop, and began teaching at Cheer and Dance Camps, sharing her skills and enthusiasm with younger dancers.
She continued her training as a Dance Major at Modesto Junior College and later at Chapman University, where she was awarded a dance scholarship. During her college years, Sarah focused on dance, musical theater, and theater, with an emphasis in jazz, ballet, modern, and stage performance.
From 2001 to 2009, Sarah performed professionally with several acclaimed dance companies including:
Off-Balance Dance Company (Modesto), Kim T. Davis Dance Company (San Jose), Michael Rossi & Company (Los Angeles & Long Beach)
Her teaching and choreography career includes work with:
Jimmie Defore’s Dance Center (Costa Mesa, Orange County), Strut Performing Arts (Modesto), Studio 4 School of Dance (Vallecito / Angels Camp)
Sarah is passionate about the art of dance and is committed to creating choreography that is both entertaining and emotionally impactful. Her mission is to inspire growth in her students and to support their progress through discipline, creativity, and dedication. Whether in the studio or on stage, Sarah brings heart, experience, and vision to everything she does.
