The journey towards achieving dreams and creating beautiful dancers requires dedication, determination, discipline and desire

Studio 4 School of Dance offers classes to children from  ages  3 to adult. Our mission is to train a life long dancer, although individual goals range from social skills, health maintenance and improvement of self esteem.

Ballet is the foundation of all dance technique. The discipline and determination that comes from this training will benefit students in any career that they choose.

Ballet is the foundation of our program at Studio 4 School of Dance and is designed for dancers of all ages.

While Studio 4 School of Dance is considered to be the best school in our area for ballet training, we offer classes in many other forms of dance: Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Pointe and variety of children’s classes.

During the summer we offer workshops in different genres of dance. Studio 4 School of Dance offers classes year round. We have 4 week sessions. Tuition is due on the first week of every month and is non-refundable. There is a 5 day grace period.
If you are late with your payment a $20 late charge will be added to your tuition for that month. Any returned checks for nonpayment shall be charged an NSF fee of $25.

Missed classes are non-refundable, however make up classes are available within the first 2 months of missed classes. Tuition remains the same when holidays fall during sessions.

Studio 4 School of Dance has a non-refundable $25 enrollment fee, due with the 1st months’ tuition for new students. There is an annual non-refundable $15 enrollment fee for returning students.* There is an annual non-refundable membership fee of $20 due January 1st, which covers liability insurance for the dancer, maintenance and repairs to the studio.

Tiny Tutus – 45 minutes
This class is an introduction to movement with music, designed as structured play, using imagery and imagination. Giving children tools for creativity, we promote confidence and positive self-image. This class is designed for 3-4 years of age

Pre-Ballet – 60 minutes
Children will be introduced to beginning ballet steps and terminology, this class will help them develop body awareness, rhythm, flexibility  and coordination. They will learn structure of  a ballet class that will enable them to progress to Ballet I. Offered to
4-5 years of age.

Ballet I – 60 minutes
Focused on the beginning dancer. Children will learn the fundamentals of Ballet. Class room etiquette, terminology, proper body alignment and posture. Barre, center and age appropriate stretches will be introduced. Offered to 5-6 years of  age.

Ballet II – 60 minutes
This class is designed for the intermediate/ beginner dancer. Focusing on  proper body alignment, posture, flexibility, and introduction to proper foot alignment. Barre, center and stretching combinations will be introduced. Offered to 7-8 years of age.

Ballet III – 60 minutes
For the Intermediate dancer. The emphasis of this class is proper body alignment, posture and flexibility, as well as developing core strength needed for correct and safe training. Offered to 9-11 years of age

Ballet IV/V– 90 minutes
For the advanced / intermediate dancer. The emphasis of this class is proper body alignment, posture and flexibility, as well as developing core strength needed for correct and safe training. Attention to proper foot alignment and strength building exercises will be an important part of this class. Offered to ages 11 and up.

Ballet VI/VII – 90 minutes
This class is designed for the intermediate/ advanced dancer. The emphasis of this class is core strength, flexibility, proper foot alignment and strength building exercises for the advancement to pointe. Offered to ages 13 and up.

Pointe I-III 60 minutes
For the intermediate/advanced dancer. The dancer must be evaluated before attending this class. The main focus of this class will be proper foot  alignment in pointe shoes. Foot stretch and strengthening techniques will be taught. Barre and center pointe combinations will be introduced. Offered to ages 13 and up.*

Tap – 60 minutes
Broadway Theater style tap. Derived from Stan Kahn technique which emphasizes on terminology, technique and rhythm.
Tap I- Offered to ages 7-10 Tap II- offered to ages 11 & up

Jazz Dance – I or II – 60 minutes
This class is for the Beginner/ intermediate or the intermediate/ advanced dancer. Jazz is a contemporary style of dance used from Broadway to television and movies. Classes include floor warm-up, isolation’s, across the floor progressions, basic jazz turns, leaps and fun combinations.
Jazz I- Offered to ages 7-10 Jazz II- Offered to ages 10 and up

Hip Hop I- 60 minutes
This is a beginning Hip Hop class. Introduction to Hip Hop terminology, movements such as popping and breaking and
choreography. High energy and exciting! Offered to ages 6 & up

Hip Hop II- 60 minutes
This is an intermediate Hip Hop class. Use of Hip Hop terminology, movements such as popping and breaking and choreography. High energy and exciting! Offered to ages 8 & up

Teen / Adult Hip Hop – 60 minutes
This is an intermediate Hip Hop class. Use of Hip Hop
terminology, movements such as popping and breaking and
Choreography. High energy and exciting! Offered to teens & adults

Contemporary – 90 minutes
Designed for the intermediate/ advanced dancer. Contemporary Ballet mixes Ballet, and Jazz techniques. Music may range from classical, jazz or blues to hip hop, international or alternative. Contemporary is a mix of movements: falls, rises, contractions, releases, turns, leaps, petite allegro ( fast foot work) to slow adagio moves. This class is offered to students enrolled in Ballet III and company members.
